Just below the North End of Boston, you'll find the scenic Waterfront neighborhood with spectacular views of the famous Boston Harbor. The neighborhood follows the shoreline of the harbor and the Fort Point Channel. Here, you'll see lots of high-end condominiums, townhomes, and luxury loft-style residences with serene waterfront views. Not only is this neighborhood a short distance from the water but also to the popular Financial District.

You'll find several attractions to enjoy while visiting the Waterfront. The neighborhood is home to the famous New England Aquarium where you can view a variety of sea life. You can also enjoy a three-hour Boston Harbor City Cruise to go whale watching right from the aquarium's dock. Or take a Boston Duck Tour in a special boat that traverses both the land and the sea. You may even want to take a walking tour along the Harborwalk from Chelsea Creek to the Neponset River. In addition, make sure to enjoy a bit of seafaring history by visiting the USS Constitution Museum.

Get a good dose of patriotic spirit by visiting the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum to enjoy historical reenactments involving live actors and 18th-century replica sailing vessels. Entertain the kids with a trip to the Boston Children's Museum filled with educational exhibits that are also lots of fun. And don't forget to enjoy the nearby shopping and restaurants at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Plus, you can take in a Celtics game or concert at TD Garden, or enjoy some fresh air at Christopher Columbus Park.

Because the Waterfront area is such a popular tourist destination, expect that parking will be hard to come by on the day of your visit. Much of the parking is reserved for residents with valid permits, and metered spots that are available for non-residents are limited to two hours at a time, among other restrictions.
