Senior Staff Engineer iOS at SpotHero:
Senior Staff Engineer-iOS will design, develop, test, and release high-quality software, while building and maintaining critical tooling and ensuring iOS compliance. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to communicate changes, propose innovations, and drive the implementation of new technologies. This role contributes to design of new features and supporting QA in managing device fleets, maintains the codebase, provides mentorship to the engineering team and serves as an internal expert on evolving technologies. Additionally, you'll represent SpotHero as an industry thought leader at events.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in computer science or a closely related technical field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, must have two (2) additional years of Computer science experience.
Experience: Must have at least eight (8) years of professional IOS engineering experience with any amount of experience in each of the following:
- Experience as an iOS engineer across multiple environments including Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Objective-C.
- Supporting various app extensions, such as watchOS, CarPlay, AppClips, or Live Activities.
- Supporting open-source SDKs distributed across various package managers.
- Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bitrise.
- Distributing apps through TestFlight.
- Using Proxyman and Postman to support asynchronous client-side development and debugging through protocol mocking.
- Working with remote features and A/B testing tools such as Optimizely.
- Creating and maintaining analytic protocols with analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, or MixPanel.
- Managing deployments, monitoring release stability, and using tools such as SumoLogic and Sentry.
- Utilizing Semantic Versioning practices for projects where necessary.
- Supporting and communicating Apple Human Interface Guidelines to internal teams.
- Proving support for codebase owned or assigned as part of role.
- Supporting projects across other platforms like Android.
- Experience with multiple architectural design patterns, such as MVVM and Flow Controllers.
Experience need not be cumulative; all experience may have been gained concurrently.

Travel: No Travel Required. Limited Telecommuting from a home office available pursuant to company policy.

Compensation in Illinois:
- Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between $149,000 - 170,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package including stock options.
