Parking Near Amtrak NYC Pennsylvania Station
Pennsylvania Station is located in the heart of New York City's West Side nestled between 7th and 9th avenues adjacent to world-famous Madison Square Garden on 34th Street. More commonly referred to as Penn Station, it is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the world. With 21 tracks servicing 16 Amtrak lines in the newly renovated Moynihan Train Hall, almost every NJ Transit and Long Island Railroad commuter rail line, and six subway lines, Penn Station serves around 600,000 passengers daily.
Does Penn Station have its own parking lot?
Unlike most Amtrak stations in less dense areas of the country, Penn Station has no dedicated free or paid parking.
Is there free parking around Penn Station?
Midtown Manhattan is one of the most notoriously car-hostile areas in the United States, and it is extremely difficult to find parking near Penn Station. If you want to try your luck along 31st and 32nd streets, no parking is available closer to 7th Avenue. That being the case, you would need to drive further south to 30th or 29th streets and seek a free space there. You are more likely to find a free space in Hell's Kitchen, west of 9th Avenue.
