Parking Near The McKittrick Hotel

Built as a world-class luxury lodging in 1939, the McKittrick Hotel never quite got off the ground. Just a couple of days after the U.S. entered World War II, and six weeks before its official opening, the McKittrick closed its doors as a hotel for good. However, on Oct. 4, 2021, new owners reinvented the lavish space as a unique theatrical experience featuring New York's best-known interactive/ immersive theater production, "Sleep No More." (Historical records differ on how long the hotel stayed open in its original incarnation before having to close down.)

The McKittrick also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Halloween Party, the New York Hot Jazz Festival, and an annual New Year's Eve event -- the King's Winter Masquerade Party. The venue also has a speakeasy-themed nightclub, The Manderley Bar; a cozy, seasonal rooftop cafe that serves seasonal cocktails and pub food, Gallow Green; and a small concert space, The Club Car. The McKittrick hosts all types of private functions as well.

Guests have an array of dining, clubbing and shopping options within a relatively easy walk of the McKittrick Hotel.
