Parking Near Tribeca

Tribeca is a small New York City neighborhood located on the west side of Lower Manhattan. Its name was originally stylized as TriBeCa, standing for “Triangle Below Canal Street” (though it’s really more of an obtuse trapezoid, but who’s keeping score?). The neighborhood is perhaps best known for the Tribeca Film Festival, co-created by actor Robert De Niro, producer Jane Rosenthal, and real-estate investor Craig Hatkoff as a way to help reinvigorate the culture of Lower Manhattan after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. The festival takes place annually in the spring, showcasing American, international, and student films of various genres.

Though Tribeca is small (only about a third of a square mile in area), its close proximity to so many New York mainstays make it a popular tourist destination. The World Trade Center is not technically part of Tribeca, but is directly south in the Financial District. In addition to the building itself, you can visit the 9/11 Tribute Museum and 9/11 Memorial Pools to pay your respects. Other close destinations are The Battery (a riverside park at the southern tip of Manhattan), as well as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration.

Reduce stress and make your trip to Tribeca a breeze by using SpotHero to reserve your parking spot early so you don’t have to worry about finding parking once you make it to your destination. This will leave you all the more time to enjoy your accommodations and the local attractions.

FAQs

Is there street parking in Tribeca?

You can find both metered and unmetered street parking in Tribeca, but it may be difficult to find the latter due to the neighborhood’s small size and proximity to the Financial District, World Trade Center, and other busy New York Destinations. For that reason, booking parking with SpotHero in advance is highly recommended.
