Senior Product Designer at SpotHero:

SpotHero is seeking a Senior Product Designer who can lead product design for the core consumer-facing product, helping drivers remove stress from the final mile of their journeys by comparing, finding, and buying parking all while bringing a sense of joy and simplicity to this crucial mobility touchpoint. SpotHero is the leading consumer brand in parking and we start all our days thinking what is the best way to give drivers the right of way.

What will you do:

Help build the best products of your career while working on some of the most challenging problems. If you’re ready to work with a team of talented engineers and product people that support this goal, we want to hear from you.
We’re a full-stack product design team and you will own your product from problem discovery through final UI delivery, testing and iteration.
In a typical week, you will interview and build relationships with parking operators and parkers, send surveys to thousands of customers, contribute to our mature design system, run ideation workshops with stakeholders, sketch and design multiple prototypes that you’ll test inside garages or remotely, and collaborate directly with engineers, product managers, and other designers to build the best products of your career.
Create holistic design solutions that address business and user needs by considering the entire customer experience through collaboration with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
Be challenged to understand the problem space, building delightful and quality designs that drive results, and championing new processes to grow the Design and Product teams.
Design user research and usability studies, collect and react to user feedback.
Create user flows, design documentation, prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and other UX deliverables.
Create thoughtful A/B tests and growth experiments through innovative design solutions.
Collaborate with other designers and engineers on our evolving design system.
Mentor and pair with other designers to help upskill the team and share your learnings.
Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and specifics within a cross-functional team.
Consult with internal partners on best practices to support SpotHero’s customers.
Continuously monitor the success of the product through analytics and other tools.
Document, collaborate on, and reference our evolving design system.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies.

Have a deep knowledge and understanding of responsive web design, iOS, and Android best practices.

Are excited to conduct usability tests, talk to users in the field, conduct A/B tests, and share learnings with the organization.
Are a solid communicator possessing strong presentation and verbal & written communication skills.
Exceptionally organized and very comfortable working with engineering and product managers.

The following experience is relevant to us:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 7+ years professional experience designing web and native iOS and Android applications.
Marketplace or Ecommerce experience is a must.
A portfolio that showcases your design process & design thinking
Solid understanding of the design process, Design Thinking, information architecture, usability, and heuristics.
Deep knowledge on when and how to use different user research methods, including user interviews, surveys, Fake Door testing, usability testing, contextual interviews, and market analysis.
Must have a firm understanding of different UI constructs for primarily responsive web, but also iOS and Android.
Knowledge and efficiency with the design tool Figma.
Ability to meet and communicate deadlines.

A/B Testing Platform (Optimizely preferred).
Product Analytics Software (Mixpanel preferred).
Issue and Project Tracking Software (Jira preferred).
User Session Recording Tools.

Compensation in Illinois:

Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between $120,000 - 150,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package including stock options.
