SpotHero is looking for a PARCS Technical Onboarding specialist who will connect our software and services with our partner in PARCS (Parking Point of Sale System) via APIs. It will be your role to get each PARCS integration up and running, tested and ensure easy observability. You will partner with a Product Manager to ensure requirements are defined correctly and collaborate with our Senior Engineers to define solutions, ensure project deadlines are successfully met and effectively communicate with product/engineering squad team members and internal stakeholders. What will you do:

Work with Account Managers and growth Managers to collect the necessary information to establish a connection to PARCS equipment.

Work with the Product Manager (Integrations Squad) to agree on the prioritization of new PARCS integrations
-
Network and manage a contact list of PARCS vendors and IT folks associated with PARCS and or major Operators
-
Connect our systems to the PARCS equipment in Facilities across North America
-
As needed, setup the integration (REST, API, IT Networking, Firewalls)
-
Be familiar with API integrations in JSON, SOAP, REST
-
Troubleshoot firewall/networking issues internally and externally
-
Validate and Test that each connection/integration is up and running
-
Ensure you can measure the health and performance of each connection
-
Communicate externally created PARCS outages with external parties and or PARCS vendors within an agreed-upon SLA

Ensure external outages are resolved and necessary communications are done internally to impacted Growth Managers
-
Independently identify areas for improvement and innovation within our ecosystem, and lead the charge on making those changes.

Writes relevant and clearly understood tests

Writes and maintains clear documentation for areas of complexity
-
Ensures there is observability in your work for both Engineering, Product, and Supply

As needed escalate the need for engineering support on critical and complex issues with the Integrations squad
The following experience is relevant to us:

You have at least 1-3 years of hands on experience in IT Networking and troubleshooting

Experience in working with legacy APIs, and/or integration services

Running SQL queries

You have at least 1 years of hands on experience as an Engineer across multiple environments preferably with Java/Kotlin or GoLang

Event sourcing tools like Kinesis and/or Kafka experience

Relational databases like Postgres, MySQL and/or Oracle experience

Workflow management tools like Airflow experience

Cloud service providers like AWS, GCP and/or Azure experience
Tools: SpotHero Admin Backend, Salesforce, Facility Configuration Manager, BI Tool (Looker preferred), Issue and Project Tracking Software (Jira preferred), Log Management & Security Analysis Software (Sumo Logic preferred), Knowledge Sharing Platform (Confluence preferred), API testing tools for manual / exploratory testing (SOAPUI, Postman Preferred), SQL tools (pgadmin, datagrip preferred), remote desktop
