In Seattle, general parking spots on-street allow handicap parkers to park at no cost if they have a valid permit or placard. However, parking in these designated spots have a 4 hour time limit enforced between 7am - 6pm. Any car that is parked longer than 72 hours in Seattle can be considered abandoned and lead to a violation or tow. Be aware that parking restrictions can be enforced within a 24 hour notice. A valid handicap permit or placard doesn’t allow you to park in tow zones, no parking zones, loading zones, and reserved spaces. Also, out of state permits and placards are accepted in Washington.
